At our Market Sale section, we understand the importance of having the right information at your disposal. This page is designed to help you find crucial forms, important dates, and step-by-step directions on how to market and sell your animal successfully. Quality Care is paramount, and we are dedicated to guiding you through the selling process while ensuring your animals receive the utmost attention. Join us to learn more and make your market sale a successful event!

Intent to Sell & Things to Know

Intent to sell must be submitted by 9:00PM on March 5, 2025, to be eligible to sell at the Cowlitz County Fair

We encourage youth that are doing market sale for the first time to attend an in person Quality Assurance class.

Attend one of the in person trainings.

Training 1: April 27, 2025, 2pm to 4pm at Cowlitz Training Center. Must be pre-registered at www.yqcaprogram.org

Training 2: March 20th, 2025, 6:30pm at Toutle Lake HS.

To register for training:
1. Go to yqcaprogram.org
2. You will need to create an account and add all children exhibiting separately.
3. Once children are registered, scroll down on the home page and "add to cart" the Instructor-based Training or web-based training for your child's current age.
4. You will then choose which instructor based training you will be attending.
5. Complete payment and submit.

Quality Assurance Program

Attending quality assurance training through the Youth for the Quality Care of animals program is required annually for all exhibitors participating in the Cowlitz County Market Sale. The following options are available for exhibitors to fulfill this requirement:

Janet White Memorial Animal Scholarship Program

This scholarship fund was created through donations of animals for resale through the Cowlitz County Market Sale in memory of Janet White.

Scholarships are provided to help with the purchase of a market animal or for help with feed expenses associated with the animal.

Completed scholarship applications need to be postmarked by February 14, 2025. Interviews will be determined at a later date.
